Research service

Features, providers, limits, and availability may change as the service improves. ChatCatharsis is provided as available, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free output.

Human responsibility

AI candidates and syntheses may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable. You are responsible for evaluating sources, preserving necessary evidence, and making the final decision. Do not rely on ChatCatharsis as a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, safety, or other professional advice.

Device-local storage and backup

ChatCatharsis may store research in browser-managed storage on your device. Device-local storage can be lost if browser site data is cleared, the browser profile is reset, the device fails, or storage is otherwise removed. You are responsible for exporting important work or enabling an available backup option when appropriate.

Cloud backup is optional where offered. Enabling it permits ChatCatharsis to copy the applicable workspace and selected source originals to authenticated cloud storage. Disabling backup stops future automatic full-workspace and source-file backups but does not automatically delete a previously stored backup. Account, entitlement, provider, usage, billing, security, and compact receipt-ledger records may remain server-side independently of the research-body backup setting.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to violate law, infringe rights, bypass access controls, distribute malware, obtain unauthorized secrets, overload providers, or submit information you lack authority to process.

Your content and exports

You retain responsibility for the prompts, captured source material, questions, and decisions you provide. Workspace and receipt exports are user-initiated. A receipt records what the system processed; it does not prove the underlying claim is true.

Browser extension

The Research Intake extension transfers reviewed page text or one explicitly selected research file only after your consent. You are responsible for respecting source-site terms, copyright, confidentiality, access restrictions, and your authority to store or process each file.

Shared free-model inference

Signed-in Free and Complete workspaces may use provider capacity that ChatCatharsis has explicitly designated for shared free-model inference without a ChatCatharsis per-run charge. Shared capacity is subject to third-party rate limits, availability, abuse protection, and fair-use controls. ChatCatharsis does not automatically substitute operator-paid inference when shared capacity is unavailable; you may use simulation, try again later, or connect your own supported provider account.

Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically at the interval shown during checkout until canceled. You may cancel through the secure customer billing portal; access continues through the paid period unless the service must be limited for fraud, abuse, legal, or provider-protection reasons. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and taxes may be added where required.

Complete membership across both products

A paid monthly or annual Complete membership includes ChatCatharsis Complete and ChatVaultAI Complete for the purchasing account. Cross-product access is a dated entitlement and may require the same verified email address. The Record Method and Keep remain free resources when a paid period ends.

Provider connections

Workspace owners may connect supported third-party provider accounts. You are responsible for those provider accounts, keys, charges, limits, and terms. ChatCatharsis verifies and encrypts connected keys for server-side use and does not expose them to workspace members. Provider availability and model mappings may change.

Teams

Workspace owners control invitations, roles, provider connections, and member removal. Members must use shared records only within their granted role and authority. Private ChatVaultAI desktop vault contents are not part of a ChatCatharsis team workspace, and device-local ChatCatharsis research is not automatically shared merely by joining a team.

Changes, refunds, and termination

Access may be limited or ended to protect users, providers, or the service. Except where law requires otherwise or a separate refund policy states otherwise, fees already charged are non-refundable. Material price changes will be presented before they affect a future renewal.
